Let’s be real — Artipoppe is stunning. If you’re going for the fashion-forward, “I-do-Pilates-and-have-a-nanny” vibe, it delivers. But with a designer price tag, I couldn’t justify it.

Brands like Tula, Mabē & Wildbird offer the same high-end aesthetic, soft fabrics, and scroll-stopping color options — but again, you’re paying mostly for the look and name.

Then I tried Momcozy — and I LOVE it. I have the mesh version and it’s breathable, great quality, and incredibly easy to put on. It feels secure without being stiff, and I use it all. the. time. It looks very similar to the Mabē, but at a significantly lower price point. They’ve also added a ton of colors and patterns since I bought mine.

Ergobaby: The Functional Forward-Facer

When my bub hit the “I must see EVERYTHING” phase (aka: baby owl mode), I pulled out the Ergobaby Omni Classic.

Wraps (the long fabric kind) feel like human origami at first. You’ll think you’re doing it wrong every time. But once you figure it out (YouTube to the rescue again), it becomes second nature.

They’re so soft and cozy, and perfect for the newborn stage — like tucking baby into a hoodie pocket. But once bub grew bigger, we moved on.

You don’t need to splurge here. Something like Keababies Baby Wrap does the job well – and the rave reviews agree.

Compact & Travel-Friendly Baby Carriers

If you’re looking for something compact for travel (the others are a little bulky, not gonna lie), I don’t even try to fit anything but a wrap in the diaper bag. But if you want something lightweight that still gives a bit of structure, there are a few good options.

The BabyBjörn Mini is super soft, easy to throw on, and doesn’t take up much room — perfect for quick trips or newborn cuddles. The Boba Air is kind of genius — it’s made of nylon, folds into its own pocket, and weighs practically nothing. Great for tossing into your carry-on or glove compartment and forgetting about it until you need it.

Why Babywearing is a Game-Changer

Whether you’re a Type A planner or flying by the seat of your leggings (hi, it’s me), babywearing is the secret weapon.

Even now that bub is 10 months, I still reach for the Momcozy when he’s cranky. I strap him on and he powers down within 5 minutes, like the old days.
